01

Full Assessment

The OT Process

An initial assessment is required to formulate client-centered goals on how best to support the child’s unique needs. This includes a face-to-face assessment with the child using various standardised and non-standardised assessments; a parent interview and review of previous assessments and forms.

02

Therapy Sessions

Post assessment, therapy sessions can be determined based on the child’s individual needs. These are typically face to face at the child's home or school. Online sessions may be possible depending on the child’s unique need.

Adolescent and adult therapy consultations typically take place online.

03

Review/ Refer/ Discharge

After the assessment or a period of occupational therapy sessions, the child's needs will be reviewed and next steps discussed, whether that is to continue attending sessions; reduce the sessions; refer to other health professionals and/or discharge them from occupational therapy.

Testimonials

She absolutely adored my little girl, formed a loving and trusting
relationship with her and gave me frequent progress reports, reassured any questions and fears I
had. It was very clear that she was knowledgeable and had experience in her field of study and the
various approaches to the different needs that my daughter had. What I didn’t realize then was that,
it would be the beginning of a life-changing journey for us as a family, more importantly, a gift that
my daughter would enjoy forever – the gift of confidence in her physical, social and learning abilities.

Dani-Lee is an amazing Occupational Therapist. I have referred many of my Grade 2 children to her and have always been so impressed by her willingness to work with me.  She has amazing insight and knowledge which she readily shared with me and together we were able to assist many children who were experiencing academic challenges.  Dani-Lee is one of the most professional  therapists I have worked with and one who constantly upskills herself.  It was a sad day for me when she immigrated to England.  She was a great loss to our school.  I wish you well with your own practice Dani.  I have no doubt you will make a success of this venture and in so doing will help many, many children.

Mrs Gill Forbes (teacher)

I have worked with Dani-Lee for many years in a multi-disciplinary team. We have assessed and treated many Paediatric and neonatal clients together. Her passion and wealth of knowledge for these cases has been incredible to experience. I have learnt so much from working with her these past few years. Dani-Lee is nurturing in her approach to therapy and is able to relate easily to parents as she is a parent herself. She has been apart of many successful and fulfilling outcomes in many babies and childrens’ lives as well as helping their parents on a new journey with their little ones.

Testimonials

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Dani-Lee. She is warm, friendly, and completely child-led in her approach and really takes time to connect and understand the individual child, their needs and how to get the most out of them in therapy. What stands out is how well she understands our child’s sensory needs and knows exactly what helps them respond, helping them to develop functionally whilst meeting their needs. Each session feels fun and engaging, while supporting real progress. We’re so grateful for the care, patience, and insight she brings to every interaction.

We feel so lucky to have found Dani-Lee. From the very first session she was warm, approachable and incredibly knowledgeable. She instantly made my son feel comfortable and it was clear how much he enjoyed spending time with her, he would race into each session with a big smile on his face.

Thanks to Dani, we’ve gained a much better understanding of our son’s sensory needs and she’s given us practical, personalised strategies to help support his regulation. This has made such a positive difference in his day-to-day life; inproving his sleep, mood, confidence, and his enjoyment of physical activities.

We’re so grateful for the support and care Dani-Lee has given our family.
